Prostate: PSMA
Prostate Cancer Immunotherapy
We are developing vaccines and antibody therapies based on prostate specific membrane antigen (PSMA). PSMA is a cancer antigen that is abundantly expressed on the surface of prostate cancer cells, but not normal cells, thus making it an attractive target. PSMA is also expressed on the surface of new blood vessels that feed a wide array of other solid tumors.
We are engaged in research and development programs relating to vaccine and antibody immunotherapeutics based on PSMA. We believe that PSMA has applications in immunotherapeutics for prostate cancer and potentially for other types of cancer.
